INTRODUCTION
Laser therapy equipment should be serviced at least once a year (every 6 months if the equipment is in frequent or constant use).
Our service includes not only electrical safety checks but also output power tests and calibration of probes (and power meters where applicable).
We have special test equipment which performs both wavelength and output power tests providing accurate and reliable measurements . Collection and return of your equipment can be arranged by courier.
Our aim is to complete the service/repair in 4-5 working days (excluding shipping).

Includes
- Test and adjust to specification:
- output power and wavelength of all probes - calibration of laser unit & power meter where fitted
- electrical safety tests to EN6060
- Test and repair if necessary:
- insulation and earthing - function of all switches
- Inspect and replace as necessary:
- probe labels and sleeving
- Also:
- Any other necessary minor repairs
Test and measurement standards
- Output power tests accurate to +/- 3%
- Wavelength tests accurate to +/- 1nm
- Electrical safety test performed by Rigel safety tester

Booking a service or repair

- If you call before 10am we can usually arrange a UK collection the same day although there may be a small extra charge.
- Please note: Goods are shipped to and from our repair centre at your own risk unless you ask us to arrange transport and agree, in writing, to grant THOR Photomedicine Ltd responsibility for your equipment whilst it is in shipment and under our control. To accept this option, you must select 'YES' on the Online Service Form which will give THOR your authorisation.
- Packing
- Put laser in its travelling case and packed in a box with padding.
- Enclose : Return address, contact name, telephone number, reason it has been sent, known problems that need attending to, operation or service manuals.
