Christopher Reeve Christopher Reeve, the star of the "Superman" movies who became an advocate for spinal cord research after a near-fatal riding accident nine years ago, died Sunday of heart failure. His efforts in helping advance research into nerve regeneration will be remembered and appreciated by those suffering from spinal cord injuries.
